What a fun conversation! It brings back memories of my mother talking about his same issue when I was about 10 years old! She thought it was very unfair that bandaids only came in caucasian skin tones and wanted to fill a need by formulating and distributing darker tones of bandaids. It is a salient memory for me because it was the first time I remember talking to her about differences in people based on skin tone.

To Mr. Schaefer and the girls on this wonderful journey — I am so proud of the many things that you are learning and so very impressed by your teacher and your parents who are giving you such a wonderful opportunity to learn!! These are very important discussions to have, and I thank you for sharing this experience with the world!
